Spring Arrives in Garrett County

Although Garrett County residents can't put the snow shovels away just yet, Spring begins tonight at 8:07 PM. As the snow slowly melts from the slopes at Wisp the docks will begin going in the lake. This past winter, the Deep Creek Lake area received 124 inches of snow, our biggest snowstorm, 11 inches, occurred on March 7th, and our lowest temperature was observed on February 5th at -9.2 degrees.
